Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly Replacement .

  5. Remove the transaxle brace bolts (1, 3).
  6. Remove the transaxle brace (2).
