Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transaxle brace (2).
  2. Hand start the bolts to the engine and to the transaxle.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the transaxle brace bolts (3) to the transaxle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  4. Install the transaxle brace bolts (1) to the engine.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 63 N.m (46 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly Replacement .
  6. Install the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4) .
