Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the remote start electrical connector, if equipped.
  2. Connect the hood latch release cable to the hood latch.
    3. Fig 1: Hood Latch & Support Bracket

  3. Position the hood latch to the marks on the hood latch support bracket.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the hood latch to center support bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Adjust the hood as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment .

  6. Position the hood latch closeout panel to the vehicle.

  7. Install the push-in retainers (1) to the hood latch closeout panel.
  8. Close the hood.
