NOTE: Control module damage may result when the metal case contacts battery voltage. DO NOT contact the control module metal case with battery voltage when servicing a control module, using battery booster cables or when charging the vehicles battery. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Preliminary Procedures Remove the transmission control module (TCM) cover. Disconnect the TCM electrical connector.
1	TCM Tip: Reprogram the TCM. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.

Remove the transmission control module (TCM) cover.
Disconnect the TCM electrical connector.
