Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the transmission range indicator.
  2. Install a 3-amp fused jumper wire between the suspect signal circuit and the voltage supply circuit. Verify the scan tool TR Sw. A/B/C/P parameter is HIGH.
    • If not HIGH, test the suspect signal circuit of the transmission range indicator for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the transmission range indicator.
