Preliminary Procedure
- Remove the driveline tunnel closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Replacement -- Rear
.
- Support the rear drive module (RDM).
- Remove the bolt from the differential case bracket assembly to body.

Propeller Shaft Coupling Nuts (Qty: 3)
Tip:
- DO NOT remove the bolts from the coupler to the propeller shaft. Remove only the bolts from the coupler to the drive axle pinion flange.
- Clean the threads and apply LOCTITE. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants .
Tighten:
85 N.m (63 lb ft)

Propeller Shaft
Tip:
- Before installation, apply a small amount of lubricant to the front and rear propeller shaft center bushings. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants .
- Lower the front of the RDM to remove the propeller shaft from the pinion flange.
