Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rear compartment lid ajar switch.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that the Trunk Ajar indicator on the DIC is not be illuminated.
    • If the Trunk Ajar indicator remains illuminated, test the rear compartment lid ajar switch signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the rear compartment lid ajar switch.
