Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine mount strut bracket to the head.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the engine mount strut bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine mount strut to the left engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side  and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .
  4. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor. Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).
  5. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 GE 47716 Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 GE 47716 Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 Static Fill) in Engine Cooling.
