CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Brake Dust Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Park Brake Cable to Caliper Caution . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation . Release the tension from park brake system at the equalizer. Disconnect the front and rear cables from one another at the connector clip. Disconnect the park brake cable from the park brake lever on the brake caliper. Remove the park brake cable from the caliper bracket.
1	Bolt, Brake Hose Fitting NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 54 N.m (40 lb ft)
2	Fitting, Brake Hose Tip: Cap or plug the brake hose fitting and the open inlet port of the brake caliper to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
3	Gasket, Brake Hose Fitting (Qty: 2) Tip: DO NOT reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets. Install NEW gaskets.
4	Bolt, Brake Caliper Guide Pin (Qty: 2) Tighten: 34 N.m (25 lb ft)
5	Caliper, Brake Tip: Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) . With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance. Slowly release the brake pedal. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 2-3 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and the brake pads. Fill the master cylinder reservoir to the proper level. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling . Adjust the park brake. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment (L26 and L32) . Burnish the pads and rotors. Refer to Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing .
