Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood to the vehicle with an assistant.
  2. Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the bolts to the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.

    Tighten:  Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  4. Install the assist rod to the hood. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement .
  5. Adjust the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
