Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the four fasteners from the engine cover (1).
  2. Remove the engine cover (1) from the engine.

  4. Remove the two bolts and the generator support brace from the intake manifold.
  5. Remove the one bolt (5) that secures the lower portion of the breather pipe (3) of the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system.
  6. Remove the two nuts (1) securing the PCV breather pipe to the cylinder head.
  7. Disconnect the PCV breather hose (4) from the PCV breather pipe (3).
  8. Remove the PCV breather pipe.

  10. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the camshaft position (CMP) actuator solenoid valve (2).

  12. Remove the fastener retaining the CMP actuator solenoid valve (1) to the cylinder head.
  13. Remove the CMP actuator solenoid valve (1) and the O-ring (2) from the cylinder head.
