Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Fig 1: Identifying Ignition Coils

  4. Remove the ignition coils (1, 2, 3, 4).

  6. Remove the spark plugs.
  7. Fig 3: Rotating Engine

  8. Rotate the engine to top dead center on the number one cylinder.

  10. Remove the 2 timing chain tensioner bolts (1, 2).
  11. Remove the timing chain tensioner.
