Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Place a jack under the engine. Be sure to place a block of wood between the jack and the engine.
  4. Remove the right side engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .
  5. Using the jack, raise the engine assembly.

  6. Remove the lower drive belt tensioner bolt (6).
  7. Remove the upper drive belt tensioner nut and slide the assembly off the stud.
