Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Disconnect the shift cables.
  3. Remove the 4 gear shift guide case bolts.
  4. Remove the gear shift guide case.
  5. Remove the gasket.
  6. Remove the 2 gear shift guide case bracket bolts.
    IMPORTANT: When removing the shifting bracket notice that there is a select lever bushing and that it must be replaced in its original position, or incorrect shifting may occur.
  7. Remove the gear shift guide bracket.
