Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    CAUTION: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
  1. Remove the positive and the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the battery hold down bracket bolt and nut.
  3. Remove the battery bracket.
  4. Remove the battery and the battery tray.
  5. Disconnect the IAT connector.
  6. Remove the IAT sensor.
  7. Remove the air cleaner hose and cap assembly.
  8. Remove the air filter.
  9. Remove the 3 air cleaner lower box bolts.
  10. Remove the air cleaner box.
  11. Support the engine with the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture in Engine Mechanical-1.8L (LV6).
  12. Remove the transaxle left mount through bolt.
  13. Remove the 4 bolts and the left transaxle mount.
  14. Remove the 3 left transaxle bracket bolts and bracket.
