Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture in Engine Mechanical-1.8L (LV6).
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the left hand splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Left in Body Front End.
  4. Remove the right hand splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Right in Body Front End.
  5. Remove the 2 bolts from the front transaxle mount.
  6. Remove the front transaxle mount through bolt
  7. Remove the insulator to the mount bracket.
  8. Remove the 2 front transaxle bracket bolts and bracket from the transaxle.
