Installation Procedure

NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the front transaxle bracket and bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 64 N.m (47 lb ft).
Install the insulator to the mount bracket.
Install the front transaxle mount through bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the transaxle mount through bolt to 52 N.m (38 lb ft).
Install the 2 bolts to the front transaxle mount.
Tighten: Tighten the front transaxle mount bolts to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).
Install the left hand splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Left in Body Front End.
Install the right hand splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Right in Body Front End.
Lower the vehicle.
Remove the engine support fixture.
