Diagnostic Aids

Inspect for the following conditions:
- Poor connections at the component
- Poor connections at any in line harness connectors
- A faulty PCM
An intermittent may be caused by the following conditions:
- A poor connection
- Rubbed through wire insulation
Inspect the PCM harness connectors for the following conditions:
- Backed out terminals
- Improper mating
- Broken locks
- Improperly formed or damaged terminals
- Poor terminal-to-wire connections
Inspect the wiring. If any wiring repairs are necessary, refer to DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES in WIRING SYSTEMS article.
