Park Brake Hardware Inspection (Drum Brakes)

  1. Visually inspect the park brake hardware (7,9,10,11,12,13,24) for the following conditions:
    • Excessive corrosion
    • Excessive stretching
    • Broken components
    • Bent components
    • Twisting or binding
    • Missing components
  2. Replace the park brake hardware with the drum brake shoes if necessary. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement (FWD) or Brake Shoe Replacement (AWD) in Drum Brakes.
