Installation Procedure
- Install the lower instrument panel assembly to the vehicle. Ensure that the 4 push retainers are fully engaged. Secure the assembly to the instrument panel reinforcement with the 8 bolts.
- Route and install the I/P wiring harness clamps.
- Connect the hood release cable to the hood release handle. Refer to Hood Latch Release Handle Replacement in Body Front End.
- Install the manual selector. Refer to Manual Selector Replacement in Automatic Transmission (MU4).
- Install the HVAC control assembly. Refer to HVAC Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC Systems-Manual.
- Install the glove compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Install the front floor console assembly. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Install the hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar in Interior Trim.
- Install the front sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
- Install the I/P upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Enable the driver and passenger side SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 andSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
