Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper I/P panel. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper .
  2. Remove the lower I/P panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Lower .
  3. Disengage the wire harness clamps.
  4. Remove the instrument panel pad lower bolts (12).
  5. Remove the instrument panel pad lower (11).
  6. Remove ground cable.
  7. Remove the I/P center support braces (6, 9). Refer to Bracket Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center Support .
  8. Remove the windshield defroster nozzle duct from the heater case assembly.
  9. Remove the following retainers from the instrument panel reinforcement at the hinge pillars:
    • The 7 bolts
    • The 1 nut
  10. Route out harness and remove the instrument panel reinforcement (4) from the vehicle.
