Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector (4).
  2. Install the front floor rear console (3) to the vehicle.
  3. Lower the parking brake lever.
  4. NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  5. Install the front 2 bolts (5) to the front compartment of the rear console and the 2 rear bolts (2) to the rear of the console (3)..

    Tighten:  Tighten the console bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb in).

  6. Install the front insert (6) to the rear console (3).
  7. Install the console box damper (1) to the rear compartment of the rear console (3).
