Fore-Aft Adjustment

  1. Raise the hood.
  2. Support the hood.
  3. Loosen the hood (1) mounting bolts.
  4. NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  5. Adjust the hood to the front fender clearance gap to between 2.5-5.5 mm (0.10-0.22 in) on each side of the hood. Tighten the hood mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hood mounting bolts to 13 N.m (9 lb ft).

  6. Remove the hood support.
  7. Lower the hood.
