Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the frontal supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
  2. Remove the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .

  3. Using a flat-bladed tool, lift up the upper trim pad covers.
  4. Remove the bolts holding the upper trim pad to the I/P retainer.

  5. Lift the I/P upper trim panel from the vehicle.

  6. Disconnect the ambient light sensor from the upper trim pad.
  7. Remove the I/P upper trim panel from the vehicle.
