Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the ambient light sensor to the upper trim pad.

  2. Position the I/P upper trim panel in the vehicle. Snap the trim panel into place.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts to the I/P upper trim panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Insert the bolt caps.
  5. Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .

  6. Connect the ambient light sensor to the upper trim pad.
  7. Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .
  8. Enable the frontal SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
