1	Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
2	Do any indicators illuminate when the chime sounds?	Go to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console	Go to Step 3
3	Turn the ignition OFF. Remove the key from the ignition. Turn the headlamp switch to OFF. Open the driver door. Does the chime sound?	Go to Step 4	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections
4	Install a scan tool. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool, perform the Chime Test in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) Output Controls. Does the chime stop when you select OFF?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 16
5	With a scan tool, observe the Park Lamp Switch parameter in the body control module (BCM) Lighting Data List. Does the Park Lamp Switch parameter display OFF?	Go to Step 6	Go to Step 7
6	Close the driver door. With a scan tool, observe the Driver Door Ajar Switch parameter in the BCM Keyless/Remote Start Data List. Does the Driver Door Ajar Switch parameter display Door Closed?	Go to Step 8	Go to Door Ajar Indicator Malfunction
7	Turn the ignition OFF. Disconnect the BCM connector C2. Connect a test lamp between the park lamp switch input circuit and a good ground. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 9	Go to Step 15
8	Turn the ignition OFF. Remove the key from the ignition. Disconnect the BCM connector C2. Connect a test lamp between the key in ignition signal circuit and battery positive voltage. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 10	Go to Step 15
9	Test the park lamp switch on input circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 17	Go to Step 11
10	Test the key in ignition signal circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 17	Go to Step 12
11	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the headlamp switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 17	Go to Step 13
12	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the ignition key alarm switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 17	Go to Step 14
