Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    IMPORTANT: The install depth for the differential case oil seal is approximately 0.5 mm (0.020 in.)
  1. Install the new differential case oil seal in the transaxle.
    2. IMPORTANT: The install depth for the transfer case oil seal is approximately 2.5 mm (0.098 in.)
  2. Install the transfer case oil seal in the transaxle.
  3. Apply J 36850  to the new drive axle seal lip.
  4. Install the transfer case assembly. Refer to Transfer Case Replacement in Transfer Case - Vibe.
