Test Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 11: This step tests the PCM and the wiring to the AT inline 20-way connector.
- 14: This step tests the control circuit for a short to voltage.
- 16: This step tests the circuit for correct resistance.
DTC P1860 (3.4L)
| Step | Action | Value(s) | Yes | No |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls? | - | Go to Step 2 | Go to Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls - 3.4L |
| 2 |
IMPORTANT:
Before clearing the DTC, use the scan tool in order to record the Failure Records. Using the Clear Info function erases the Failure Records from the PCM.
