NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices. Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Remove the steering column opening filler assembly. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement . Tilt the steering wheel up.
1	Trim, Instrument Panel Tip: Release the left-hand instrument panel (I/P) trim plate assembly by pulling away from the I/P retainer. Disconnect the I/P dimmer switch and, if equipped, the fog lamp switch.
2	Clip, I/P Trim Panel

Preliminary Procedures

Remove the steering column opening filler assembly. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
Tilt the steering wheel up.

Trim, Instrument Panel
Tip:

Release the left-hand instrument panel (I/P) trim plate assembly by pulling away from the I/P retainer.
Disconnect the I/P dimmer switch and, if equipped, the fog lamp switch.
