NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices. Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Remove the steering column opening filler assembly. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement . Tilt the steering wheel up.
1	Trim Plate, Instrument Panel Tip: Release the left-hand instrument panel (I/P) trim plate assembly by pulling away from the I/P retainer. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2	Clip, Instrument Panel Trim Plate

Preliminary Procedures

Remove the steering column opening filler assembly. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
Tilt the steering wheel up.

Trim Plate, Instrument Panel
Tip:

Release the left-hand instrument panel (I/P) trim plate assembly by pulling away from the I/P retainer.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

Clip, Instrument Panel Trim Plate
