Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Fuel Tank Lines

  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) line (3) from the canister. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  3. Reposition the EVAP canister hose clamp.
  4. Remove the EVAP canister hose.

  5. Disconnect the EVAP canister line from the fuel sender. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  6. Squeeze the small retainer in front of the canister in order to disengage the canister.
  7. Remove the EVAP canister.
