Engine Oil Life Remaining

This mode will indicate the percentage of remaining oil life before the driver is alerted to change the oil. The powertrain control module (PCM) will transmit the class 2 message to display the CHANGE OIL SOON warning on the driver information center (DIC) once the remaining oil life falls below five percent. Once the oil has been changed the engine oil life monitor needs to be reset in the options mode.
