Installation Procedure

  1. Position the right end bracket assembly (2) to the vehicle and attach the wiring harness.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the 2 bolts (5) attaching the right end bracket (2) to the instrument panel inflatable restraint.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts (3) and (4) attaching the right end bracket assembly (2) to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the bolt (6) attaching the right end bracket assembly (2) to the lower radio bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the screw (1) attaching the right end bracket assembly (2) to the lower radio bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Computer/Integrating Systems.
  7. Install the instrument panel pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper .
