Installation Procedure

  1. Install the center support brace (5) to the drivers inner bracket (3).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolt (4) attaching the center support brace (5) to the drivers inner bracket (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the drivers inner bracket (3) to the vehicle.
  5. Install the 2 bolts (2) attaching the drivers inner bracket (3) to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the drivers knee bolster bracket (9) to the drivers inner bracket (3) and the outer bracket (1).
  7. Install the 4 bolts (10) attaching the drivers knee bolster bracket (9) to the drivers inner bracket (3) and the outer bracket (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the 4 bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  8. Install the bolt (8) attaching the center support brace assembly (5) to the lower radio bracket (6).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  9. Install the screw (7) attaching the center support brace assembly (5) to the lower radio bracket (6).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the instrument panel pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper .
