Installation Procedure

Recode the lock cylinder (1), if necessary. Refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding in General Information.
Insert the key into the lock cylinder (1) and fit the lock cylinder (1) into the instrument panel compartment door handle (2) in the vertical position and rotate the lock cylinder (1) counter clock-wise a half a turn.

Make sure the lock cylinder retaining pin (1) is fully engaged to the instrument panel compartment door handle.
Install the instrument panel compartment door handle. Refer to Handle Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment .
