Looseness in Steering Column

Condition Action
The steering wheel is loosely connected. Inspect the steering wheel splines for damage. Tighten the steering wheel nut to specification.
The steering column pivot or mounting bolts are loose. Tighten the pivot bolt and the mounting bolts to specification.
The steering wheel splines are worn or damaged. If necessary, replace the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
