Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Inspect the EVAP pressure switching solenoid and the EVAP control system for carbon particle contamination before replacing the EVAP pressure switching solenoid.
    2. Fig 1: EVAP Pressure Switching Solenoid, EVAP Canister And Fasteners

  2. Install the EVAP pressure switching solenoid (1) to the EVAP canister.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Secure the solenoid with the fastener (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 8.8 N.m (77 lb in).

  4. Connect the 2 vapor hoses.
  5. Connect the electrical connector.
  6. Install the EVAP canister (3). Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (FWD)  or Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (AWD) .
