Installation Procedure

  1. Install the I/P compartment door lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment Door .
  2. Install the I/P compartment door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment .
  3. Position the I/P compartment door (1) to the inner reinforcement cover (4).
  4. Install the reinforcement cover (4) to the I/P compartment door (1).
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  5. Install the I/P compartment door screws (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).

  6. Position the I/P compartment door hinge to the I/P carrier.
  7. Install the screws to the I/P compartment door hinge.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).

  8. Install the I/P compartment door stop strap into the opening in the I/P carrier.
  9. Close the I/P compartment door.
