Installation Procedure

  1. Install the armrest and the hinge. Refer to Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor .
  2. Install the accessory power receptacles. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.
  3. Install the traction control switch. Refer to Traction Control Switch Replacement in Anti-lock Brake System.
  4. Install the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Switch Replacement .
  5. Install the wiring harness.
  6. Position the floor console to the vehicle.
  7. Connect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console. Slide the floor console toward the front of the car.
  8. Install the shift handle. Install the shift handle screw.
  9. Shift the transaxle to P.
    10. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  10. Install the floor console bolts. Adjust the front seats as required.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  11. Release the park brake.
