1	Did you review the operation and perform the necessary inspections?	Go to Step 2	Go to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console
2	Are any indicators illuminated in the DIC or IPC when the audible warning chime sounds?	Go to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console	Go to Step 3
3	Turn OFF the ignition. Remove the key from the ignition. Turn the headlamp switch off. Open the driver door. Does the chime sound?	Go to Step 4	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
4	Make sure the headlamp switch is off. Turn the ignition OFF. Disconnect the BCM connector C2. Connect a test lamp between the headlamp switch signal circuit and a good ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 6	Go to Step 5
5	Connect a test lamp between the key in ignition signal circuit and battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 9
6	Test the park lamp switch signal circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 8
7	Test the key in ignition signal circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 10
8	Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal Switch Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column. Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 11	-
9	Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System. Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 11	-
10	Replace the ignition and key alarm switch. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 11	-
11	Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition?	System OK	Go to Step 3
