Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hazard warning switch. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  2. Install the center air outlet. Refer to Air Outlet Replacement - Instrument Panel - Center in HVAC.
  3. Position the center trim panel (1) to the instrument panel, and connect the hazard warning switch connector.
  4. Install the center trim panel (1) to the instrument panel, making sure the four clips (5) are engaged.
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the two center screws (2) securing the center trim panel (1) to the instrument panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the two screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the two upper screws (4) securing the center trim panel (1) to the instrument panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the two screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the two lower screws (6) securing the center trim panel (1) to the instrument panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the two screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the center upper trim panel (3) to the center trim panel (1), making sure the retaining clips are engaged.
  9. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  10. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console .
