Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster .
  2. Remove the instrument panel center trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center .
  3. Remove the HVAC control assembly. Refer to HVAC Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC.
  4. From the rear of the switch (3), squeeze the retaining clips (2) on each side of the switch (3) and push the switch (3) part way from the panel (4).
  5. Using a plastic flat-bladed tool, hold the retaining clips (2) depressed while slowly removing the switch (3) from the panel (4).
  6. Disconnect the wiring connector (1) and remove the switch (3) from the vehicle.
