Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install or connect the fluid cooler inlet pipe, outlet pipe and bracket to the transaxle. Secure the pipe bracket to the transaxle with 1 bolt.

    Tighten 

    • Tighten the transaxle inlet and outlet fluid cooler pipe flare nuts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).
    • Tighten the fluid cooler pipe bracket bolt to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  2. Install the following to the transaxle and fluid cooler:
    1. 2.1 The fluid cooler inlet hose to the fluid cooler inlet pipe. Secure with the 1 clamp.
    2. 2.2 The fluid cooler inlet hose to the transaxle fluid cooler. Secure with the 1 clamp.
    3. 2.3 The fluid cooler outlet hose to the fluid cooler outlet pipe. Secure with the 1 clamp.
    4. 2.4 The fluid cooler outlet hose to the transaxle fluid cooler. Secure with the 1 clamp.
  3. Remove the drain pan from under the transaxle fluid cooler.
  4. Refill the transaxle with AC Delco T-IV (GM Part No. 88900925), as necessary.
