Drum Brake Adjusting Hardware: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the rear wheel and tire. Remove the brake drum. See BRAKE DRUM  .
  2. Remove the adjusting hardware with the shoes. See BRAKE SHOES  . See Figure .
