Installation Procedure

Install the I/P compartment door lock cylinder. Refer to LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) COMPARTMENT DOOR .
Install the I/P compartment door latch. Refer to LATCH REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) COMPARTMENT .
Position the I/P compartment door (1) to the inner reinforcement cover (4).
Install the reinforcement cover (4) to the I/P compartment door (1).
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the I/P compartment door screws (2).
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).

Position the I/P compartment door hinge to the I/P carrier.
Install the screws to the I/P compartment door hinge.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).
Install the I/P compartment door stop strap into the opening in the I/P carrier.
Close the I/P compartment door.
