Removal Procedure

Remove the rear storage compartment from the front floor console.
Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR CONSOLE .

Remove the horseshoe clip (1) from the shift control knob. Remove the shift control knob.
Disengage the transmission shift plate retainers from the transmission shift control assembly. Remove the transmission shift plate.

Remove the rear bolts from the front of the floor console in the rear storage compartment.
Remove the center bolts front floor console at the transaxle shift lever mounting bracket.
Remove the front bolts from the front floor console.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Pull the front floor console rearward in order to release the console from the guide pins in the instrument panel (IP).
Remove the front floor console from the vehicle.
