Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the differential lubricate.
  2. Remove the torque tube assembly. Refer to TORQUE TUBE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT 
  3. Remove the drive pinion oil seal (1) from the drive pinion housing and discard.

  4. Remove the pinion housing-to-differential bolts (1).

  5. Remove the drive pinion and housing assembly (1).

  6. Carefully remove the drive pinion housing shim (2) from the differential (3).
  7. Remove the O-ring seal (4) from the drive pinion housing and discard.
