Installation Procedure

  1. Install the door handle into position in the I/P compartment door.
  2. Install and fully seat the retainer to the I/P compartment door handle.
  3. Connect the door latch rod to the door handle, then lower the door latch into position on the door.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the I/P compartment door latch retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the IP compartment door latch retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Align the door handle and latch cover to the I/P compartment door, then carefully press the cover into place to secure the retaining tabs.
  6. Close the I/P compartment door assembly.
