Revised Frontal or Side Air Bag Inflator Module Replacement

This bulletin is being issued to add the following "Caution" statement to the Frontal and Side Air Bag Inflator Module replacement procedures in the SIR sub-section of the Service Manual. Please add this information to your Service Manual.

This information has been updated within SI2000. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected pages.

When replacing an Inflator Module on the above described vehicles, always refer to the following caution.

Caution:
Following the deployment of a frontal or of a side impact air bag, inspect the following parts for damage. Replace these parts if necessary:

^ The seat back trim, if damaged

^ The seat back pad, if damaged

^ The seat back frame

^ The seat cushion frame

^ The seat adjuster

^ The seat recliner, if equipped Failure to do so may cause future personal injury.
