This bulletin is being issued to revise the fastener tightening specifications in the Disc Brakes and Rear Suspension sub-sections of the Service Manual. Please correct the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.
The following information has been updated within SI2000. Please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page.
Important:
The Service Manual Cover should read 2001 Aztek Service Manual, A/B for both Volume 1 and Volume 2. All Buick Rendezvous vehicles are 2002 MY vehicles. NO 2001 Rendezvous vehicles were produced.
Disc Brake Specifications
Page 5-60, Rear Brakes: Brake Caliper Bracket Bolts to 130 Nm (96 lb ft).
Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement-Rear Page 5-88, Correct the Installation Procedure Step # 2. Tighten the brake caliper bracket bolts to 130 Nm (96 lb ft).
Rear Suspension Specifications
Page 3-50, Wheel Bearing/Hub Bolts (NEW ONLY) to 130 Nm (96 lb ft).
Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement-Rear
(All Wheel Drive)
Page 3-55, Correct the Installation Procedure Step # 2.
Tighten the wheel bearing/hub bolts (NEW ONLY) to 130 Nm (96 lb ft).
